Turkey Photos part 1Category:

My Life
What if you could visit the cities that Paul, John, Phillip, Lydia, and other new testament people lived in? You could look around at the partially reconstructed ruins and imagine what kind of life they lived, what their culture was like, and what they faced as “Christians.” Then, as you read the Bible in that setting, you understand it in an entirely new way. The things found in the books of the Bible (John, Revelation, 1 Peter…) are written to the people of that land, culture, and time. That’s a small glimpse of what we experienced in Turkey the last couple weeks. I was overwhelmed with new insights and understanding of the Bible. Here’s the first of about 450 images we took on that trip. Enjoy and stay tuned for more info soon. Posted by pablohart on October 08, 2002 09:49 AM |

I lived in Turkey for two years. Your photos made me kind of miss it.
Duane,
I can understand! I'd live there in a heartbeat if things worked out that way. I thought it was a very beautiful country and that the people were very nice. And, to live in a place with such incredible history! Amazing.
