God Works in Mysterious WaysCategory:
My Life
In college I had a good friend who was an atheist. In one conversation about a book we were both reading, A Prayer for Owen Meany, she asked me if I believed if God used things in this world to give us messages. In the book, Owen foresees his deathstone telling the date of his death. My answer was ‘Yes.’ Today, a good example of this happened. See, I’ve been struggling with the winter “blahs” for a couple weeks now. I think I have a version of seasonal affective disorder. It affects my mood, physical well-being, and mental attitude. I’m crabby and tired when I get home and don’t want to do ANYTHING around the house. So, I arranged with my mom to start excercising at the gym at the college where she works. Her regular schedule is M, W, F so today was my first day. Then, in my inbox this morning, from the daily scripture service, I received this verse: Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. You can count on this. Take it to heart. Has God ever worked in “mysterious ways” in your life? Posted by pablohart on February 12, 2003 10:06 AM |

sweet dude. last summer i was talking with my old high school sweetheart and i confessed to her that i had always loved her and that i always would. minutes later, i got in the car and was listening to the local Xn radio station. that 3rd Day song came on.... "I've always loved you / and I always will..." it was kewl. oh, i forgot the detail of the story that she was in her car with the same station on and heard the lyrics too. kinda neat.
