Christian Makes Matrix Music

WORSHIP music has taken on many forms through the years—but none has
been quite as ground-breaking as the work of British DJ Andy Hunter. It was six years ago that Hunter plugged into a church plant called New Generation Missions in Bristol, England. The church’s vision was to reach young people on the streets. Hunter started to experiment with leading worship, by utilizing turntables to offer up music that these kids could relate to: Progressive House, Drum and Bass, Trance Music, Ambient Moods, Electronica and Techno.

Hunter’s music has found its way into mainstream media in a major way over the past year, first landing on the soundtrack of Antonio Banderas’ Vancouver-made film Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever; then it was featured in the trailer for Al Pacino’s The Recruit, in the preview for the upcoming Will Smith film Bad Boys II, and in the video game based on The Matrix. His greatest exposure so far will come soon, when his music is featured in the upcoming preview for The Matrix Reloaded.
