Faithful to Complete It

I received this in my inbox today from the daily scripture service I subscribe to. It comes at a particularly key moment in my life where I need some patience.

You need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion.

Hebrews 10:36

I am reminded of a song that Steve Green sings… something like:

He Who Began a Good Work in You
by Jon Mohr

Chorus
He who began a good work in you
He who began a good work in you
Will be faithful to complete it
He’ll be faithful to complete it
He who started the work
Will be faithful to complete it in you

Verse
If the struggle you’re facing
Is slowly replacing your hope
With despair
Or the process is long
And you’re losing your song
In the night
You can be sure that the Lord
Has His hand on you
Safe and secure
He will never abandon you
You are His treasure
And He finds His pleasure in you

from Philippians 1:6

I learned that chorus in Intervarsity in college and have oft times found myself humming or singing it through life’s trying times.

God be with you in your times of frustration, impatience, and ungratefulness.
