Grace Every Moment

We plan the way we want to live, but only God makes us able to live it.

Proverbs 16:1

In a world where I’m always planning for the future, this was a strong reminder that without God’s grace, I’d be spinning my wheels. It occurs to me that God doesn’t just allow us to live, but that he gives us the grace to live. It’s almost as if grace is the fuel for our lives. It’s nourishment, kindling, reinforcement, refreshment, strength. Grace makes us ‘go.’

Thank you, God, for grace in every moment. Thank you for caring for us that much.

What is grace to you?

question: would we know of sin if adam and eve hadn't sinned?
knowledge vs. experience... knowing sin through experiencing it allows us to know grace by the same path.
it has only been through the depth of my darkest sin that i've experienced the depth of His perfect grace in my life. there's the "every moment grace", and the "deepest depravity of my sin grace".
i tend to rely on both.

great question. i guess you could answer it the "Yin-Yang" way which says you can't have light without dark--nothing is completely black or completely white. your experience with deep darkness has been my experience too. i think my idea of grace every moment applies in the deepest of darkness as well as the highest of joys.

grace is truly amazing. in my mind it's the very source of my life.
