Spiritual QuagmireCategory:
My Life
\Quag”mire`\, n. [Quake + mire.] Soft, wet, miry land, which shakes or yields under the feet. “A spot surrounded by quagmires, which rendered it difficult of access.” —Palfrey. I’m in a state of greyness. Picture a grey sky, muddy bog, twiggy landscape. That’s how I feel. Maybe it’s the stress I’m under. Maybe it’s the lack of spiritual nourishment. Maybe it’s just what I ate yesterday. (Thanks to this site for the incredible painting.)

There must have been something in the west Michigan air. I too found myself in a similar place yesterday. Although I didn't describe it as "quagmire" but instead as a "funk."
In fact a friend/co-worker made the point to mention it in an email today:
I very rarely feel like that, if ever. Anyhow, I thought it might be encouraging to know that you weren't alone in your greyness.
