My Favorite VerseCategory:
Music, Poetry, & Scripture
Philippians 4:6-7 has long time been my favorite passage. It was the first passage I memorized from the Bible and has always been near to my heart. Today, I received it in my inbox in a slightly different translation. As I was reading it, the thought occured to me that it sounded a lot like (my memorized version of) Phil 4:6-7. Then I read the reference at the bottom—it was! I saw it in a new light. :) Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. What’s your favorite verse or passage? Posted by pablohart on October 09, 2003 10:52 AM |
