Contest

Lately I’ve been a little absent from this site because of the birth of Eli and because I just needed a break. Despite my “vacation,” the site visitors have been consistent—thanks for coming!

I would like to broaden the scope of this site a little by asking you, my visitors, to participate by submitting some content to be posted here. To facilitate this, I am holding a contest that starts today and ends in exactly two weeks, on November 25. The submissions will be voted and commented on by any and all visitors (including the authors themselves). The winner will receive a mounted and matted, 8x10” print (requests accepted!) from my personal collection of photographs. To participate, see the guidelines below:

Guidelines:

• Deadline: Midnight, November 25, 2003


• Theme: Pick one of the following:
  
  • What is your most difficult, recurring challenge as a Christian?
  
  
  • What is the biggest issue facing the Church in America in the next 20 years?
  
  
  • What is the purpose of the Church?


• Format: Whatever you want (artwork, writing, video, audio, etc., etc.), as long as it ends up digital


• Length: Typed articles—under 2 pages, typed 12 point font; Video—under 20 minutes, 320x240 pixels; Audio—under 20 minutes; Artwork—under 50 pieces, 600 pixels wide


• Delivery: Email, URL or CD

I’m not picky about definitions of things, so interpret the questions as you will. Thanks for writing and have fun! I can’t wait to see what comes in.
