My Virtual Small GroupCategory:

I was reflecting with my wife the other night about this weblog. More accurately, I was reflecting about my how I gain encouragement in my daily walk as a Christian. Most often, one would gain encouragement and direction from a small group Bible study, or a small group of friends that meets regularly. This blog was originally launched a couple years ago as a way for me to explore my faith more openly because I wasn’t experiencing enough outlets to do that in my non-virtual life. The site has done a good job of fulfilling that need for me. In a sense, it has become a sort of small group. By posting things that catch my attention or reflect an inner struggle, you all have reflected your thoughts and experiences in response. Yet the discussions have not been one-sided. What a complete joy that has been for me. Thank you for your participation in this virtual small group. Posted by pablohart on January 23, 2004 10:01 AM |

thank YOU, Paul, for taking the risk to be so open online. i've learned from, been encouraged by, and enjoyed reading many of your posts. overall, it helps me feel connected to you. last week i recommended the site to a friend who was interested in hearing more about "the passion." after checking it out, she said she ended up spending almost an hour on your site and really enjoyed it.
thanks for being willing to share a bit of your soul, mind, and spirit in this forum.
love you,
kris
I think it's very cool that I can "be in a small group" with you Paul - even though I live so far away it's good to know that I can get a little glimpse of some of the things you are thinking about.
that's a great way of thinking about this forum, bro. thanks for posting well-thought, well-written stories.
