Hey, I just had a neat thought… I’d like to be able to download the Bible like Neo had Jujitsu downloaded to his brain in the Matrix.

And then what?
Just have all of the info available to you, just because?
Or do you think that this in turn will afford you great wisdom?
Just MY thoughts...

to have all the info at my fingertips. and then move on to the works of josefus, and then...
i guess since we can't download, we'll have to take God's advice instead:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. - Deut 6:4-9
Nathan, thank you for the scriptural reminder.
Admittedly, I need to work on dedicated time to read and reflect on Scripture.
I know if I could just download it, I would. But I think about reading and hearing passages that speak to me in different ways at different times, and I wonder if it would be the same...

All well and good when people didn't have TV, movies, dance classes, gym memberships, 60-hour workweeks, and you name it to attend to in a week. Just "memorize" scripture might have worked easily when people had nothing else to do. Not saying that these other activities must take precedence, but just that they do. And if the response is "Well, just go to less movies and devote more time to the Word" sorry, not gonna do it. Hence, the desire to download the Bible to your brain :)
