On All the TimeCategory:
My Life
I remember a time before email. Let’s call it B.E. I remember a day—literally one day—where I had to make a decision to check my email either once or twice a day or all the time. I chose to check it all the time—to leave it “on” all the time. I remember thinking that I was wasting time at work checking it. How would I bill that time? I’d never had a need to spend time doing that kind of thing before. Why should I have to make it part of my routine now? Shouldn’t I be spending that time DOING things? That was a few years ago. Now, I’m not only checking email all the time—at work and home, but I’m checking friend’s websites. Is this phenomenon here to stay? How will it work in 20 years? Will everyone have handheld devices that we constantly are writing about our experiences in life, checking other’s writings, and commenting on them? Weird. Just weird. Orwell was right about many things. i too wonder what the next form of interpersonal communication will look like. i can see more image- and video-based media for blogs and stuff. like, you'll be in your car one day and you'll flip down your visor to download the latest audio file on my blog. then you'll "post" by recording a video clip into the visor.
wait, on second thought, i've seen how you drive without such visors... nevermind ;)
Aren't we already doing that? Text messaging phones? The question I have is will their be an anti-technology revolution. :-) I know I'm a stranger, but my thouhts on your dream (like you asked for them, lol) are that you are in a test right now, or maybe feel like you are being tested....
