Sunday Morning MadnessCategory:
Church
It’s a rare occasion when getting ready for church on a Sunday morning is effortless. What with preparing for encounters with people at church who might need to know the latest on the building renovation project, or tag-teaming on getting the kids fed, bathed, and dressed, it sets me in the wrong mood for being with other believers. Most often my wife and I pile into the car 5 minutes too late completely drained of energy and in a bad mood. Why is that? I’m sure there are a lot of reasons, but it sets me thinking, “Is it really worth all the effort?” How have we gotten to a point where being all spit-shined and polished is a requirement for going to church? Doesn’t God take us as we are? Posted by pablohart on July 12, 2004 09:54 AM |

Of course God takes us just as we are - we don't even have to brush our teeth for him. It's those around us that 'expect' us to smell nice and wear clean, unwrinkled clothes.
As one of my pastors said recently, "Kids ... go for it, run in church!"
Its what you receive at the end that really matters!!...HOLA
