The Power of a Spoken WordCategory:
Observations
There is a co-worker of mine that is here every day by 7:30—or earlier—without fail. I usually show up by 8:30, so she is always at her desk as I walk by it on the way to mine. She works harder than probably anyone in our company and everyone knows it. She is also the humblest, kindest person at our agency. She has great respect amongst all of us. We happen to be incredibly busy right now at work which tends to put us all in a little point of pressure. The energy is high and the stress is high too. The other week, someone told me that the aforementioned co-worker thought I had a grudge against her for some odd reason. Somehow I was grouped into a camp that thought she wasn’t doing her job well enough in this busy season. I can’t figure out how this would be true since my feelings and thoughts of her work are nothing but in greatest reverence. I just hate rumors. While I don’t even know how this situation came about, I’ve seen enough to know that a spark can cause a fire. One careless word or phrase can become a lie.
