America United

Category: Social Justice

This is kinda cool. Some people from the Gospelcom network set up a website to connect people to people post hurricane Katrina.

http://www.americaunited.com/

This project is dedicated to the victims of Katrina. With over 90% of the city of New Orleans and the surrounding areas devastated and uninhabitable, there are nearly a million people without homes that need the assistance of their fellow Americans. We are here to help bring together those who can help with those who need it.

People Connector
Find your loved one, or enter a victim that you are sheltering in this national registry.

Housing Connector
Offer your home, church, or other suitable housing to a family in need.

the gospelcom guys did this? there's no indication of that on the site. perhaps that's by design?

You know what? I guess I thought it was from one of the alliance organizations because it came from a Gospelcom email list. They do require everyone from the alliance to put their logo on the bottom of the homepage... Must be an overlap of one of the members with another group.
