What’s Important?Category:
My Life
Getting closer to having a baby brings on stress for me. Here I sit at 11:10 p.m. tying up some loose ends. I’ve made lists every day for the last week to make sure I get everything done before the baby comes. Meanwhile, everything else gets ignored. Posted by pablohart on April 18, 2006 11:09 PM |

"Meanwhile, everything else gets ignored."
like what?
Kingdom stuff.
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." --Colossians 3:2
I think by being faithful to the tasks God has placed in your life you ARE being mindful of things above. God blessed the place where Joseph was, whether in Potiphar's house, prison, or as Prime Minister of Egypt, because he served God in the daily-ness of life.
Serving your wife, children, and ultimately preparing your household for the arrival of its newest member is your primary responsibility to God at this time in your life. I have to remind my self of this priority at times, also, when I feel I'm not making enough of a difference in "kingdom things".
I love you and am proud of the man you have become, Paul.
Blessings,
Shari
