President Ford’s Funeral ProcessionCategory:
News
Our family was able to witness the procession to and from the church where President Ford’s funeral took place in Grand Rapids. After the funeral, the national guard and hearse are waiting outside for the funeral to be done. When the funeral ends, the family and honorary pall bearers prepare for the casket to come out. The band plays, the guard proceeds, and President Ford’s casket is driven to the burial site, downtown Grand Rapids at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
